"Grim Reefer" Fuzz Pedal
This exclusive DAY OF THE SHRED fuzz pedal was made by Earthquaker Devices in collaboration with Psycho Ent for all the artists performing at Day Of The Shred fest 2014. Artwork by Arik Roper.
The Grim Reefer is based on an old Ace Tone Fuzz Master FM-2 with several enhancements to help you rip harder and with more versatility. It is an analog octave fuzz so chords will come out mangled and single notes will bloom with a swelling octave up. This device is limited to 150 units, each indvidually numbered. Each Grim Reefer was assembled entirely by hand at EarthQuaker Devices in golden Akron, Ohio.
Sativa: This is the level control, louder to the right, quieter to the left.
Blend: This is the tone control, thicker tones to the right, rattier tones to the left.
Indica: This is the fuzz control, more fuzz to the right, less to the left.
This device can be powered by a standard 9 volt DC power supply intended for musical instruments with a negative center 2.1mm barrel or a 9v battery.
